SHAYLEN HARGER
ABOUT ME
Shaylen Harger (She/Her) is a CT and NY-based performer well known for her honest and whimsical personality. Growing up as an only child with parents in the entertainment industry, she started performing in front of crowds at the age of 4. Now she is a well-rounded triple threat with training in voice, acting, and many styles of dance. She also has some guitar and piano under her belt. In 2018, she graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre from Western Connecticut State University.
In 2016, the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival declared her the "Best Actress in a Musical in the Nation" for her performance as "Lucille Frank" in Parade, and she went on to perform at the Kennedy Center that same year. She has had the honor of working with industry professionals such as Terrence Mann, Christopher d'Amboise, Bryan Perry, Daniel Levine, Sara Brians, Nathan Peck, Igor Goldin, Mary Ann Lamb, Elizabeth Parkinson, Scott Wise, John Hickok, Jeremy Powell, Julio Matos, and more!
Her most recent achievements this past year were portraying “Belle” in Beauty and the Beast with Disney on Classic. A staged concert tour all throughout Japan, singing with a 60-piece Japanese orchestra. She also made her national television debut singing as the "Ultimate Frisbee Player" finalist on FOX TV’s I Can See Your Voice (a sports-themed episode), with host Dr. Ken Jeong and celebrity panelists Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, Cheryl Hines, Dwight Howard, Jon Lovitz, and Montell Jordan. Shay is also a Youtuber well known for her gender-bending song covers and many other genres across the board. You can also find her on IG and TikTok!

If she's not on stage, you'll most likely find her in the woods playing disc golf with her friends or on the field playing competitive ultimate frisbee. Yeah, that's right, she actually plays. She can't believe this is her 12th year playing the sport. She loves staying active and making new friends, so being part of both the entertainment community and the frisbee community makes her feel like the "ultimate badass tomboy" that she is.
